camping trip in mammoth

We had a camping trip planned months ago. It was postponed, the location changed at the last minute, and finally the long awaited camping trip was here. Alright you saw my previous post complaining about the bad timing of John's business trip to Ohio. We left at 3:30 pm on Friday drove straight to Mammoth. We got there just when it got dark. Luckily Janet and Jimmy had arrived 1/2 earlier than us and managed to get a good camp site.

The camping trip was so much fun that I wanted to do it again the next weekend. Me and net said we know now what to bring at our next camping trip after this trip. We will definitely do this again next summer. If it wasn't for the weather, we would do it again. Even at our trip, it was freezing cold at night. Poor net and jimmy. They forgot their queen size mattress. We didn't do that good either. We forgot our camping chairs that we bought for this camping trip. Turned out we didn't really need it anyway.

We anticipated a lot of hiking and sightseeing at mammoth. Maybe it wasn't meant to be... god had better arrangement for us. :) Turned out that weekend mammoth village had Oktoberfest event going on. We all had a blast! See below some pictures (out of the thousands pictures) we took at this trip. Note: Pictures are not in order. Lazy to arrange it.

this is a little store near our campsite. where we bought our supplies that we forgot to bring and took $4/ person hot shower

At some point, me and janet decided to be brave and ran out, start doing the chicken dance. I had forgotten to mention that there were people performing. Singing songs and dancing and stuff. After all it's an oktoberfest. :-) the chicken dance song was stuck in my head for days.... kept playing over and over again in my head. :D

The camping trip was so much fun. So looking forward to our next camping trip... and make sure you remember to bring your queen size air mattress, jimmy!
