Blessing in disguise

So yes. It was a blessing in disguise. I really do think so. I should probably publicly announce that we fell out of escrow last week. A final inspection on the house revealed a problem that made it un-insurable. Yep, it was the most awful thing that could happen to first time home buyers like us (technically, John's second home). We found out the bad news on Fri and we were supposed to get the keys to our home on Monday! So we sat and mourned our loss all weekend. Not until Monday night did we realize that it was probably a blessing in disguise. We didn't really care for the house in the first place anyway. There was so much work we needed to do to get the house "livable" and presentable. The whole process was so wrong from the get-go. I must admit that it was devastating at first. We waited with anticipation for more than 2 months and a couple days before escrow was supposed to close, the whole thing fell apart. Now I understand how falling out of escrow could happen.

Anyway, long story short, we are back on the market looking again. Boy, is this a stressful thing or what? I hope we get it right the second time around.
