My company held our annual company picnic at the same place, Six Flags Magic Mountain. It’s boring, but hey, it’s kid friendly, and there’s something for all ages. So no complaints. So this year, there is no exception. Six Flags, here we go again.
I was kinda looking forward to this year’s picnic, just because people at work get to meet Gaven again. The last time I took him to work for visit, he was just 2-3 months old. He will also get to meet Dylan, my co worker’s son. Dylan is about 7 weeks older than Gaven. Here they are chilling on Lisa’s blanket. I didn’t think about bringing a blanket to lay down, or any toys for Gaven to play with. So he was trying to grab Dylan’s toys the whole time.
At some point, Dylan discovered something more interesting than his toys, the leaves. He kept trying to pick the leaves up and put it in his mouth. You know, at that age, they put everything in their mouth. Gaven realized the new “toy” and copied Dylan. So Dylan’s dad and John were busy trying the keep the leaves out of their hands.
Later, Audrey came visit. She just turned 1 years old.
Audrey’s mom trying to get them over to play with Audrey. Both boys tried to jump ship. Gaven got distracted and never made it there. He stopped half way, and decided to play with the string he found attached to the blanket. So Dylan won.
They also had some sort of a fight, where, again Dylan won. Gaven was sitting up when Dylan pushed Gaven. So Gaven fell on his back and then Dylan climbed on top of him and started drooling on him. It was so funny, and I couldn’t stop laughing. I know, instead of helping my son, I stood there laughing. Gaven was fine until Dylan started grabbing his face. He started crying and we had to break them away.
Dylan’s family left a little early, so Gaven couldn’t play on the grass anymore. We put him on a bench, and he seems much more happier because he get to stand. He loves to be able to stand. He is at the stage where he just wants to climb on everything, so he can stand up. Anyway, we put him next to Audrey for a couple pictures, and he decided to rob her toys!
We left the picnic area shortly after that, and walked around the park a little.
We were going to take Gaven on a baby-safe ride, but it was getting late, and he was showing signs on sleepiness.
See how he attacked my face at the first picture? Brat! He was attacking the bunny the whole time too. He kept grabbing his nose and wouldn’t let go. How funny!
Leaving the park…. till next year! Which I am sure it will be at Six Flags again….
