Home finally

John & Shane's boat has been left at Jeff's backyard for almost 2 years. 2 weekends ago, we finally brought the boat back to our garage. Boy, was that boat filthy! So we spent a good sunday cleaning the boat.

junk in the boat.... vacuum.... and then a good rinse off dustin came over to help.... waxing away.... all cleaned.... :))

Halloween @ steve

This year we not only went to one halloween party, we went to 2. Steve & marissa organized a strictly adults only party the day after halloween. We knew this party was going to be really elaborate just because everyone knows marrisa doesn't throw any shabby parties. :) Take a look at the pictures....

us with the same old costume, the pirates. hey...the economy is bad ok? avoid spending if possible. :) hehe... i just don't feel it's necessary. anyway, i promise... if we are going to another halloween party next year, we would dress differently.

dustin and john. i put eyeliner on john's eyes to make him look like jack sparrow- i didn't do a good job. but i had fun making him up... probably the only chance i could ever put make up on him. i kind of suggested about making him look like jack sparrow since he is the pirate that night. it is only fitting to look like jack right? he said "do you want to?" hell ya of course i jumped at the opportunity!

fruit fest

I had meant to post this earlier but i forgot. :) So when John was away (ohio) I received something beautiful at work. I was really surprised and couldn't wait to open the card to see who sent this beautiful fruit basket to me. Turned out.... it was only from my husband:) And i thought i have a secret admirer.... hehe.. I forgot to take a picture of the whole thing, untouched.

I had already cut the ribbon that tied the balloon to this basket.

I shared the fruit with everyone at work and of course they all love john that day. :))))

i brought the half empty basket home and picked out the rest of the fruit to store them in a Tupperware so i can share with john when he gets back frm his Ohio trip. :)))

halloween @ kevin & shanele

We went to Kevin & Shanele's new home that they just bought in March of this year. It was great to catch up with some old friends. There are a few interesting costumes. Here are some pictures frm last night.beau, kim and cute little brandon

pumpkin carving fun

Last weekend, we went to Lombardi Ranch with Janet & Jimmy. Bought lots of corn, peppers and a pumpkin. We waited till wed night to carve it so it will stay fresh on Halloween day since it doesn't last that long. It was fun. I think this is my first ever real pumpkin that i carved. :) I carved one before when i was in MI, but i don't think i really carved it except to look and took credit for the end result. And then i think i carved a really small one few years ago when i was living at jimmy's house. that's about it.... this is my real big pumpkin. yes... MINE... and john.

ppl said you lose your identity after you got married. everything is "we", "us" or "ours". so that's OUR big pumpkin on a poly paper bag. we couldn't find any newspaper around... come'on... who still reads the paper when you can get the latest and fastest news frm the internet right?

and then you cut the top off....

i got this pumpkin carving kit from target, complete with templates and carving utensils

it seems easy so i picked this little witch

carefully make dotted lines on the pumpkin. haha i looked like ah ma...it looked like this after all the dotted lines were done. we couldn't find tape, so we use one of those stupid black tape for electrical wiringjohn then carefully colored the part where we were supposed to cut out

then i screamed to get my hands on it

I told my co-worker about my pumpkin and they said of course it's fun for me. John did the dirty work- taking the guts out... haha... we will carve one again next year.... till then.
